Sodium Chlorite 25 % + Citric Acid 50 % | 2 x 100ml Amber Glass | CDL Classic Set

SKU:  82004 HAN:  82004 Category:  CDS & more Chlorine Dioxide

Detailed Product Information

CDS classic – chlorine dioxide generation using an organic acid component (citric acid)

CDS classic combines a chlorite-based solution with an organic acid component (citric acid), resulting in the formation of chlorine dioxide during the reaction.

Unlike systems using mineral acids (such as hydrochloric acid), activation is achieved through an alternative acid base. This leads to a different handling profile within the same fundamental reaction principle.

The preparation is application-based and does not follow a fixed final concentration. The resulting chlorine dioxide solution can be adjusted depending on the intended use.

The generated substance belongs to oxidizing compounds and is used in various technical, hygienic and application-related areas.

This system is particularly suitable for users who prefer a flexible preparation using an alternative acid component.

Application and Use

Typical Areas of Application for CDL classic (Sodium Chlorite 25% and Citric Acid 50%)

It is used primarily in areas where microbiological contamination is a factor. This includes, among others, bacteria, viruses, fungi, algae, germs, biofilms, and Legionella.

Typical fields of application include:

  • private use (e.g., household)
  • mobile use (e.g., travel or outdoor activities)
  • technical and trade sectors
  • research and practical application
  • use in the food and animal feed sectors (within the intended scope)
  • veterinary applications

A solution prepared accordingly can also be used for water treatment and surface cleaning.

Instructions for Use: CDL classic (Sodium Chlorite 25% and Citric Acid 50%)

Application depends on concentration, intended use, and individual dosage. Since preparation methods vary, proper and responsible handling is particularly important. Use should comply with applicable guidelines and the information on the product label.

With CDL classic , the two components—sodium chlorite (25%) and citric acid (50%)—are combined in a controlled 1:1 ratio. This process generates chlorine dioxide. The concentration of the resulting solution depends on the chosen dosage and can be adjusted accordingly. Careful and proper application is therefore required.

The reaction begins immediately—within a few seconds—after the components are combined. To ensure safe handling, suitable, chemically resistant vessels should be used, such as glass or ceramic. Metal containers are not suitable for this purpose.

Due to the flexibility of the preparation process, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the properties and potential applications of the components before use. Please note that this is a biocidal product. Use the product with care. Always read the label and product information before use.
